Think of the future where new first-year students on campus will get straight into bartending with full legal permission?
It’s a high possibility since in America already has many states are allowing bartending from the age of 18 and if you want to see the full list follow this link where Virginia Allen has created a complete list on how old do you have to be to bartend on various states.
It is a real possibility where a law can go into action which allows all teenagers from 18 to serve alcohol and work full time, which can lead to parent’s concern and at the same time it increases job opportunities for the teenagers.
A possible summary of law could be lowering the age statute limitation from 22 to 18 to allow them to handle, serve, sell, distribute and also manufacture without requiring any consent from guardians.
As mentioned in the above paragraph lowering the age factor will increase the hiring and number of bartenders available for recruitment.
More importantly, this potential law about the age of bartender will be welcomed by the young society since bartending is currently ranking as one of the favorite jobs to teenagers between 19-25.
However, in another possible scenario, the students will be able to argue that having this type of law will not cause a huge change in the industry since many bars and drinking joints are reluctant to hire inexperienced or teenagers.
In conclusion, I merely gave you suggestions where lowering the age requirement for bartending and it’s positive and negative effects for both parties.
The only way we can determine it’s effectiveness if indeed this law gets passed. Feel free to let me know your thoughts below.
